As of 10 June 2025, Australians have a legal right to bring a statutory cause of action for a serious invasion of privacy, even without proof of damage, where certain criteria are met (intentional/reckless invasion, reasonable expectation of privacy, seriousness, and public interest balancing. We commit to compliance to minimise risk of such claims.

7. Children’s Privacy & Automated Decision‑Making

The OAIC is developing a Children’s Online Privacy Code, to be finalised by 10 December 2026. When active, we will adhere to its special protections when providing services to minors.

By December 2026, transparency obligations around automated decision-making (AI systems) will also apply. We’ll provide clear disclosures where personal data is processed by automation.

8. Access, Correction & Complaint Rights
